A New Doctor and Extended Office Hours (Early and Late) (September 2009, Vol 1 Issue 39)

September 2009, Vol 1 Iss. 39

In July we added a fourth dermatologist to our practice. She has been a big hit with both the staff and patients, and her presence allows us to expand our schedule to accommodate more patients.

Our new doc – Marianna Blyumin-Karasik, MD
Dr. Blyumin has an impeccable resume. She trained at Harvard and Georgetown University, and did her dermatology residency at the University of Miami School of Medicine. (She also happens to speak fluent Russian!) To see more of her credentials click here!

Extended Hours:
With another doctor, we have extended our hours. Most mornings we now start at 8:00am, and most evenings we now stay open until 7:00pm (last appointment at 6:30pm). Our new schedule:

• Monday 8:00am to 7:00pm
• Tuesday 8:00am to 7:00pm
• Wednesday 8:00am to 6:00pm
• Thursday 8:00am to 7:00pm
• Friday 8:40am to 5:00pm
• Saturday & Sunday – closed

Walk-In’s and Emergencies:
The most common thing we treat with the V-beam laser is rosacea. Treatment with this laser decreases the red face and flushing that most rosacea patients suffer from, as well as the broken capillaries and telangiectasia. There are studies showing that rosacea patients treated with the V-beam laser use less medication to control their disease and have fewer flare-ups. Remember, pills and creams are very effective for the pimples of rosacea, but only laser therapy treats the redness of rosacea.
