Sublative Skin Rejuvenation

eMatrix™

eMatrix is our newest device to treat moderate wrinkles, acne scars, and stretch marks. It can also be used to improve skin tone and texture.

What is eMatrix?

eMatrix is a sublative treatment, meaning it uses bi-polar radio frequency – not light or laser – to penetrate underneath the skin. Unlike lasers, this treatment can be used on all skin types.

How It Works
Through a series of pulses, gentle energy currents “injure” the underlying skin. Recovery then stimulates the growth and production of healthy collagen and new skin cells.

How Does eMatrix Compare To Laser Treatments?
eMatrix and the Fraxel laser are both fractional treatments. They target the underlying skin cells through tiny dots on the skin, leaving the surface of the skin largely untouched. Both treatments are non-ablative, meaning they do not perforate through to the top layer of skin. Recovery time is minimal – if at all.

Ablative lasers – like our Fractional CO2 laser – are much more intense. They perforate and “injure” the top layer of skin, leaving rows of tiny, gold crusts that take up to two weeks to flake off and heal. Of course, these lasers produces much more dramatic results – in exchange for a much more involved healing process.

Fraxel v. eMatrix
eMatrix is a gentler treatment than the Fraxel and can be used on all skin tones. The Fraxel produces more dramatic results, but cannot be used on darker skin, because of the risk of hyper-pigmentation after the procedure.
